Boards and showerlay tray

I have asked this question elsewhere probably in the wrong forum though.
Should I sit the wedi boards on top of the marmox showerlay tray or butt the tray up to the boards which will be mounted floor to ceiling. The joints will be sealed with wedi 610 and SA waterproof tape either way I do it.

Depends how square the walls are at the internal junction. If square then Either way is fine as you will be taping/tanking at the transitions anyway.

As dave said, plus also bear in mind you may eat into the width/ length of the former if laid on top

Thanks for the replies. I guess butting up to the boards will reduce the risk of damaging the tray and give me space to work in.
Not too worried about eating into the space as it measures 1200 x 760
