Boiler Scrappage Scheme

If I heard it right on the news there is only funding for 125,000 new boilers and they reckon there are 2 million plus old ones out there. a bit like try to put out a forest fire with a stirrup pump!

nowt wrong with my boiler. my plumber says it's one of the best he's worked on. I bet they won't be doing the boiler scrappage scheme in 15 years time when I need to replace the boiler in my house 😛rrr:

good idea though. Let's hope people use the scheme

I've just had a new worcester 30 fitted, gutted

I thought this had been around for a little while 😕 or has it only just been granted?

I see a lot of industries trying to get in on the act, it all started with the solar power grants, i've seen the bathroom indusrty call for grants to replace toilets that use too much water, Tap companies asking for grants to install water saving taps, the list goes on... I'm all up for saving the planet but can our goverment afford to through money at all of this just to hit carbon targets???

Have you seen the advert about driving 5 miles less every week? who thought up that hairbrain idea and how much did it cost

Have you seen the adverts for Everests 'Window Scrappage Scheme'. Appears to me like they are trying to make it sound official when, in my opinion, its just a ruse to get a salesman into someones house who then receives the hard-sell. At the end of the day, it'll be just the same old high prices discounted if you sign on the night. It's called the 'drop close'.

The scrappage is only upto £400, how many old people have another £1500 to cover the costs.

There many though that can afford it and will go for it.

I heard that a couple of companies BG etc are giving upto £800 on top of the £400, so £1200 in total, that's got to be a deal and a half if you can make use of it
