doing a kitchen splashback at the minute andusing black briwck effect tiles. the bevelled edge ones 200x100. anyway, whats the score with the corners? do you make the cut then use the other part of the tile round the corner so it looks like the tile is wrapping round the corner or do you just set the next wall out as you would normally?

also, can you get shallow enough trim to match the depth of the bevelled edge or do you just leave it as a bare edge?

thanks

yeah i started at the centre line of the cooker hood and worked out from there.

i'd like to do somethin in that area aswell, just a small feature like in this pic but am kinda worried incase it looks weird with the tiles being set brick effect. whats the general opinion on features in brick effect?

what i planned to do instead of trimming the top row to the same level as the underside of the cabinets was to just let the tile that protrudes past the end of the canbiner come up the side of the cabinet so its basically a full tile height with the cabinet corner notched out - if you catch my drift? then take that as my finished height plus a small trim but as mentioned the trim will only fit if i have a cut due to the bevel.

been lookin online but havent asked in any of the shops. cant seem to see anythin smaller than 6mm but tbh i could probably work with 6mm when i think about it.

you will find the trim fits neatly on the horizontal but on the vertical it will not be perfect due to the bevel on the tile. i.e. if the face of the tile is flush with the trim then the bevel and grout line will be slightly lower than the trim . even if you start with a full tile on the vetrical the next one will be a half therefore thicker, hope this makes sense:smilewinkgrin:

in that case you can put a spacer between the tile and trim to minimise the effect - I know this doesn't show a bevel edged tile but shows what it looks like with a space
