Before i describe the problem i would just like to make you all aware i knew the following problem was going to happen, so its not as if i went into it blind. Anyway, just tiled my bathroom floor so then found myself in a postion where the sink would need raising up the wall round about an inch.
I have just drilled the new holes for the sink, the problem is, with the old holes being so close to the new ones they have caved into each other thus leaving big oval holes, I had thought about using polyfiller to patch up the holes and then redrill them but for some reason this seems a bit of a cowboy patch up method. Has anyone got any ideas of how to fix this problem. Cheers:)

quite right Tony. I do remember one job had same problem, siliconed a big heavy heavy basin to the tiling I'd put on behind, walls were like a dogs d*ck had to do in rapid.Lookin back never primed wall or checked state of plaster.Punter phoned me after finishing to say there was a problem. There flippin' well was ,sink hanging off the wall with all my tiles stuck to it.

If memory serves me I cleaned plaster of back of tiles, siliconed it all back and re-grouted.Never heard a thing after that. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF Silicon!!

I know you're probably thinking "will the Silicon or no nails be enough?" and I know you want to do it the best way possible.... look on it as an exercise in research.... use the Silicon or no nails and see how it go's:) if it stays up brilliant...(it will) and then you know for future reference that you're ok to do the same in customers houses....winner all round:wink_smile:

Absolutley, i have stuck bricks down with Silicon before...

Whatever you do don't get it on your fingers and then go for a wee, can you imagine the pain if you accidently siliconed your Japs eye?:whatchutalkingabout imagine that happening and you were absolutley busting for a wee!! what would happen, i reckon your **** would just explode.

Just a warning mate, Silicon is seriously sticky stuff
