I have a diamond polishing kit including a diamond bullnosing tool. I occasionally use it to form skirtings from porcelain tiles and to form nosings on steps. Very effective but time consuming as you have to work thro the various polishing discs to bring them up.
I've never tried it on stone but reckon it depends the surface of the tile. For softer stone I think you'll get a bull nose quite easily with 50 grade diamond pad on a varible speed polisher....It will take some practice tho.

Have always fancied trying a proper bullnose tool, have a go with my vari speed grinder and pads, but more time consuming & not as uniform.
Will deff look into it,thanks for the pointer.
