HENDRYBERG

Hey everyone. Im new here and very interested in doin tiling. Fed up in my job as a marine engineer. Need something to do in my time off.

I have a friend who wants to do it too. Were up in Scotland but willing to go anywhere for a good course.

Was gonna do a 4 or 5 day and then do some jobs for family and friends to see if we like it. But then thought why not just go do the full 4 week course.

Can anyone recommend a really good one in the UK?

hi hendryberg

if you are up in scotland then NETT is a good choice (south shields). theres loads of scottish lads been there and darrren is great. not quite as good lookin as tracey but he'll teach you in 5 days what some people might take 4 weeks to do and on the 5th day you'll cover natural stone which will be very very useful.

no bias in my recommendation, just a good experience had and i like the way darren teaches. efficient and cuts to the chase..

hope this helps

?

Unfortunatley we wouldn't be able to teach you to a professional standard in 5 days but if your just looking to dip your feet so to speak and learn On the job then 5 Days is the way to go, you can always progress your learning through more training (should you require) at later a stage.
If we can assist you in any way please don't hesitate in contacting Nikki in course admin (links and numbers can be found on website) Good luck whichever way you decide

Good course run by PTS. Run courses in North West (Warrington) and also down South. I trained there on 2 weeks course and went out tiling after doing that. It is a bit daunting going into someones home for the 1st time but found it quite exciting too and done a number of jobs now locally covering kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and even a fireplace!! Had no problems with jobs done or any other aspects really. PTS give good solid training across all aspects from tiling, quoting for a job and also offer a helpline afterwsads in case you get stuck!! All the best with it!! Geoff (Tilestiles)
