Discuss Carpet tile glue in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

Hi,

could do with some advice on tiling over a large area that had carpet tiles that have been removed but the glue still remains and after using a scabbling machine, we still cant remove the glue.

I'm a bit sceptical of self levelling the area in case it doesn't adhere properly to the glue substrate.

We did think perhaps ply lining the floor which is solid concrete base?

Any technical info or thoughts just so we can cover our backsides would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul
