Hi
pva 1 to 5

:yikes: pva is a no no in the tiling world, particularly when combined with ready mixed adhesives. the water in the ready mixed adhesive makes the pva become "live" again.

but that still doesn't explain why it doesn't stick to the tile.

you need to sand off the pva layer and buy yourself a good bagged powder adhesive that you mix yourself. powdered adhesives set by chemical reaction whereas ready mixed adhesives need air contact to the allow the moisture to dry out.

powdered adhesives can be made up in small batches, so you don't have to worry about not mixing it right. mix it according to the instructions and you'll be fine. it's like making a cake
