When tiling on chipboard, not ideal I know, is it necessary to use 2 part fastflex or woudl rapid set flexible do?
if you can, cover it with 6mm hardiebacker. If straight to chipboard you need to look at stuff like Ardexflex 7001, Granfix ultimateflex (both single part but designed for timber floors) or Mapei Keraquick with Latex plus or BAL Fastflex.

BAL Rapidset flexy is not suitable.
