Just thought it might be interesting to see how many of us have done jobs really cheap for a customer for a particular reason.
Example: i quoted a kitchen splashback yesterday for a really nice woman who was still living with her parents, i could tell that she didn't have much up top in terms of education, her dad was dissabled and the mum was shuffling about. She told me how much money she had put aside for the job before i had even mentioned a price (£400) which she had been saving up for.
There was easily 2 days work involved so roughly about £300 inc materials......however the old heart strings had been tugged beyond endurance and before i new what i was doing i had said i will do it for £150 all in. She was over the moon and had tears in her eyes because she now had change and she could buy a new garden chair for her dad. I came out of there in a right old state  lol
That look on her face was worth loosing the other £150 i would have normally charged. Anyone else get cought up with the old emotions?
