hi helpers, anyone know the cheaper option to the BAL 2 part flexible powder/liquid ?
I am going to tile the en suite only 2.5 sq mts onto chipboard its not ideal to overboard thanks P M

Why cant you use 6mm no more ply? its hardly going to create a step is it? You may as well throw your money away if you are tiling straight onto chipboard

so i keep reading lol why does it say BAL 2 part fastflex is suitable for tile on backerboards, glazed tiles, T & G floorboards plywood overlay, floating plywood/CHIPBOARD floors etc etc

the normal chipboard soaks in the moisture and warps the boards and the moisture resistant doesnt absorb the water very well creating a barrier and a very light fix, if fix at all..................NOT RECOMMENDED TO TILE ON CHIPBOARD,OVERBOARD WITH 6MM HARDIE AS DOM SAYS.

Some tubbed adhesives state they are fine for use in wet areas or with large format tiles, experience suggests otherwise, would you like to take advantage of the combined experience and knowledge of the forum?

If so overboard the floor.

ok guys, sounds like ive been out voted, so its no more ply, stick and screw down, should be ok with 6mm
so i dont need to buy the expensive 2 part adhesive then, if not what do you recommend thanks PM

PS ive used the hardibacker board is that the same as NMP
