Hi all,

Done a little bit of tiling a few days ago all went well but after grouting and clearing the grout off the tiles
I noticed the Finnish of the venis monker tiles looked damaged almost scraped looking no shine on the glaze

tried a few household cleaners hoping it was just a residue on them but nothing worked
at this point I thought I was going to have to rip them off and start over but the Mrs
tried a bit of lemon juice (thank god for pancake day) on them and the shine came back but it's hard work
an lemon juice being yellow i have to be careful not to get it in the white grout

Anyway can anyone recommend a tile cleaner solution to get this residue off?

Exactly what I thought John, porcelanosa recommend a fine grout with these tiles as sanded grout scratches the glaze.

Paul Mckenna has nothing on you Bri. They do indeed recommend a fine grout (Butech) Used it before and it is almost like talcum powder its so fine. I fear that the tiles maybe scratched beyond repair, have you any pics?

yes they're Porecelanosa.

as said the tiles are not damaged they just have a residue that's really hard to remove on them I have totally removed it from a few of the very worst effected with lemon juice (acidic ) and they are perfectly shiny
with no marks on the glaze at all the trouble it actually getting this stuff off.... it must have come from the grout

What happened was my landlord tiled the bathroom but they would only do 3 and a half walls haha (don't ask why I still don't understand it myself )

tiler left me the tiles adhesive and the grout to Finnish it ......he used all the same stuff and didn't have a issue so I guess I might have balls up the grout mix
and made it to thick or something

More a case of not taking the residue off quickly enough and you need to use clean water constantly otherwise you are just moving the residue round the tiles and not removing it.
