One of my lads just done a quote for me (unable to work myself at the moment) 400 yards from my house in High Wycombe for a lady with the same name. But was to expensive compared to the other tiler that was latexing the floorboards rather than putting down 10mm Delta boards as we quoted.

No Dan I think it might just be a common indian name. but I know that this job we quoted wont last long. I think Asian culture is always looking for a bargain as my Indian mate tells me. He says all his family always having bad jobs done.

It's cultural, they just can't help themselves, they have to feel like it's a complete bargain, and it takes a lot of convincing to even make them pay the correct money. I try to stay clear.
It's not racial in any way at all, it's just how they are, and I find the job stressful enough at times without the added headache of getting what you're owed as well.
There are exceptions to the rule, but in the main, it's hard work.
This woman has also been pm'ing TA's prior to her post.

Had a call from a woman with a similar name but in Harrow, she has had 2 failures on the same floor.
First time it was overlaid with ply and tiles started letting go 2 years after it was laid.
Second time hardie was used and started to lift 6 months later ?, tiler did offer to refix but she claimed she didn't have the confidence to let that happen.
