Colorstuk grout colour dilute

Hi all. I've recently had my bathroom retiled with brown porcelain tiles and a matching BROWN tile grout. When we're finished in the shower, there is a load of brown liquid in the shower tray (evident as the tray is white). I've wet a white towel and wiped it on the grout (to double check it's not residue from the tiles). And I'm pretty sure it IS the grout. It's a ready mix bag, so assume it's just a case of measuring the water ratio against the grout??? Sadly, I'm now left with a brown residue on my feet after shower time and worried that slowly the grout will waste away? My question is, do the forum experts think this is likely to be a COLOURSTUK tile issue or a user error (ie, my tile fitter didn't make the mixture correctly) and suggest any other advice. Much appreciated.

Im not familiar with that grout, however im sure the dye shouldn't be rubbing off like that.....looks like it may not of be mixed right.....is the grout soft. ...can you stick you finger nail in it..?

Yeah, if I scratch it with my nail it does make a very slight impression, not easy, but like it crumbles away. Any other thoughts? Thanks, George

Thats Porcelanosa's grout....how long has it been completed.

Do you suppose maybe he bagged it in to fill the joints? Or he left it to long and it slaked on him?

Deffo sounds wierd.

Can't stand colorstuk myself , wierd stuff , seems to set off ok then soon as you wash off it pinholes.

I've used a fair bit of colourstuk & never had a problem like this,
It's not the best of grout to use on walls, like it for floors.
It's meant to be made alongside Mapei UCP.

I use colorstuk all the time and never had a problem.......was the grout left to fully cure for at least 10 days before using the shower???

Whatever the problem with the grout, or the reason behind the problem (which I would like to find out for the sake of helping others in the future), I think the solution is going to be the same.

A re-grout job?
