Hi All
My little boy (not so little anymore at 10 years old) was diagnosed with ADD about 2 years ago and has been seen by the specialist on and off since. He takes medication each morning and when under the influence of that he is an angel and has really settled down at School to the extent that his teacher who is new to him this year wondered what all the fuss had been about in the last several terms. Untill one day he did not take his tablet and reverted to being loopy argumentative beligerent violent and not pleasant. She now knows what we have to put up with at home when his medication wears off. Anyway having tried to access any community groups or slef help groups to meet with others suffering the same thing for mutual support we have drawn a complete blank. We have even been unable to access practical help and support from the local community nursing teams.
Anyway my mrs has decided to look at the possibility of starting a group locally for other sufferes to meet chat and hopefully support each other which I think is a fantastic idea. Trouble is never had any expereince of doing something like that. Has anyone else done anything similar in setting up a local community support group that could give any advice or tips etc.
