We drill a lot of composite stone. Trouble is when people describe composite they can mean many things from soft dupont worktops ( a mix of granite chips and resin) to very hard porcelain tiles. And anything in between.

Prices are wild too. I dont think there are any uniform prices out there its just whatever the retailer can get away with charging.

Prices on tiles are so subjective. I have found the same stone for sale in one shop at a different price to another.

End of the day its what the customer is willing to pay. But £85 psm is a bit topend. Most seem to pay £40-£60 psm.

Same so in Germany. And from my experience with composite tiles I would ask the manufacturer if there is a laying instruction (e.g. buttering-floating as a must) and/or an adhesive quality recommandation. Martin
