Condensation

Bought a new van back in August and had new ply lining installed.

Its completely ruined now with the condensation build up. All mouldy and warped, and needs replacing. I know its a result of wet sponges ,buckets, cutters etc

How do you guys stop it from happening?

I take as many really wet things out as I can when not used, but often drive around (or park it when weather is nice) with drivers window open a few mm's

My Transit drips like a gooden, need to put some kind of insulation on the roof area....

Before you ply line put glass wool inbetween ply and panels ,Sorted

I'm with Geoff - take the wet sponges etc out as soon as I'm finished a job - the garage is the place for them.

I'm going to line my new van with Kerdi Board.
Seriously, it insulates so will deaden noise and help a bit with warmth and although not as tough as ply it'll save the panels from knocks and dings. (I'm not carrying pallets of tiles)
Might look odd with a bright orange interior but at least it'll be different!

I know all about condensation.....my Combo (until today where I think I've fixed it) leaks into the drivers footwell to the point that your feet are in a puddle.

I've driving while constantly wiping the windows with a tea towel, it drips from the roof all down my neck.

I used to have a Combo and that sweated like a blind lesbian in a fish market. I've now got a Nissan and it's as dry as a bone.

They have them when you see vans carrying paint and dogs, loads of 'em about Andy. Twirly things they're called. :lol:
