Hi. I've not reall done much tiling before but am renovating the house so will be doing three bathrooms/toilets.
I am just about to tile a shower enclosure onto skimmed plasterboard . Have tanked with a BAL kit and bought 8mm thick 60x30 cm tiles and Mapei Keraflex adhesive. I've had different advice from different places about the size/type of notched trowel to use. Some just say use a 20mm round notched trowel and some say use a 10mm square but spread adhesive on the back of the tile as well.
Is there a standard approach to this or is it just what individual people prefer?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Also, am I being overly ambitious thinking I can lay 60 x 30 tiles with a very moderate skill level?
Cheers
