The Tile Association’s Master Tile Fixer certification scheme was introduced to support TTA’s vision to ‘raise tile and tiling standards and enhance installation expertise and craftmanship’. The scheme certifies highly experienced and skilled independent tile fixers with the aim of promoting best practice and encouraging existing tiling professionals to strive for excellence.

Gary Walsh of GB Walsh Tiling

Gary has over 35 years’ experience working with all types of stone, porcelain and ceramics. He is qualified with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Wall & Floor Tiling and regularly holds training seminars for the installation of large format tiles.



Gary is the team leader of GB Walsh Tiling, a tiling contractor specialising in the installation of large format and extra large format porcelain panels.

To be eligible to apply for TTA Master Tile Fixer certification you will need to meet the following criteria:

• You are an existing TTA Independent Tile Fixer member
• Your primary role is a tiler
• You will need to successfully complete an online skills and knowledge test
• You will be audited by a member of TTA Training Committee along with 2 customer references from the past 12 months

Following successful application, members will be reviewed annually and will need to complete a 3 year refresher course based around technical and training questions.

Membership rates for TTA Master Tile Fixers will remain at the Independent Tile Fixer rate for the first year, increasing thereafter.

Congratulations to Gary Walsh! He's a really good tiler.

To TTA; the content length in this master tiler 'blog post' is bang on length wise. The others were too short for me to keep I'd have got (in fact and you) penalised for low value content as not much was on the page.

If they could all be 3 or 4 paragraphs with 2 lots of bullet points I'd be able to keep them all. Also maybe their name in the title else all titles are exactly the same. More people will click on them with their name over time as people spot somebody they know.
