convertin into meterage

Hi guys this is my first question on forum.I quoted a bathroom fit few months ago and now got job tiles to be 450x310 fixed in portrait.Remeasured it today 176 tiles what does convert to in metre2 thanks..brum

Of course I measured it with tiles being rectangular theres more waste orig measure 14m only asking
for a bit of help here.

Agreed 24.5m2, pushed to just under 25 if using 3mm spacers.

Your tile is 43x31 cm = 1,333
10,000 divided by 1,333 = 7.5 tiles per square metre
176 tiles divided by 7.5 tiles = 23.46 square mts

Don't forget wastage!

You are certainly right!
Lets hope the way I've tried to illustrate the method of calculating the area for 'brum' has not caused him financial hardship!
I suspect that my future posts will all now be subject to scrutiny and derision!

Easy peasy. It is 176 x 0.45 x 0.31 = 24.552m2
The way of working out how any tiles you need is to take your square meterage and divide by the tile size. EG 18 sq mtrs with tiles of 250 x 330 is.......
18 div by 0.250 div by 0.330 = 219 tiles. Plus wastage of course.
Or just tell them you need 20 mtrs of tiles :smilewinkgrin:

So the bathroom originally measured 14m?
But now we've got a different size tile, the bathroom is 10m bigger?

Hope they don't get even bigger tiles 'cos then it'll measure 30+m2
