Hi all,

Watching cowboy trap this morning, I only seen a wee clip of it as I was working so don't really know the whole story, however the bit I caught was about the floor tiling that failed! so the they realised probable cause was the tiler used 4mm plywood to overboard the floor!! So he kind of showed you why not to use ply this thin by flexing it then advised you should be using 9 mm ply instead !! wtf!!, I thought b'standards where 18mm, I personally use 12mm in most cases! ,and never use anything less!

I thought BS is 15mm??

bs is 15mm minimum scott

but no one stocks 15mm so the next size up is 18mm

Watched an episode last week where the so called pros talked about the importance of using pva before tiling the floor! :mad2:

I watched 1 episode where they were tiling a kitchen splash back, where the oven was they put a special tile which had a picture on it the size must have been 300x300 and they used tubbed gear which wasn't trowled properly as you could noy see many ridges and the ridges you could see went in all differen't directions. Me personaly would have used a cement addy just to be on the safe side due to the size of the tile.
