Crack in the floor before tiling

I recently quoted for a floor job which the customer would like me to do, but he rang me back and asked me to look at a crack in the floor before tiling.

The crack apparently is by the cooker area which i didn't notice.

What should i look out for and what should be advised please?

Ask the customer how long the crack has been there..is it an old crack or a fresh one....if it is a fresh one then i,d investigate why! it happened....You could use a crack isolation membrane but it stills need checking before commencing tiling.... i.e tree roots/subsidence etc etc....
