Cream gloss tiles - which colour grout?

We are just re-doing our kitchen - duck egg blue cabinets, cream walls, cream gloss square tiles, sandy coloured floor tiles (with grey grout) what colour grout would be the best choice for our glossy cream wall tiles? would cream look dirty? would white be too stark??

A light grey against the cream may look pretty good, make sure the joints are spot on though

Grout to match tiles or go darker so it stands out.

Light grout at the back of an oven can get dirty quickly,splashes of oil from cooking.

I would be looking at a colour to match the tiles. If you go with a darker colour your eye will be drawn to it - It's already being drawn to the darker joint on the lighter floor. I think your eyes would be wondering where to look, so best to keep it similar in my opinion.

Agreed. I suggest to my customers that they go for a grout colour closest to the tile colour.

Get a grout sealer/protector for your splash back behind the cooker & sink & you won't have any worries with your grout lines getting stained.

Thanks everyone! you have been really helpful! we are going to go with the cream and get a sealer. didnt know grout sealers existed so im impressed! we needed some sealer in our last house as i found that the light grey grout on the floor tiles became dark grey with the heavy traffic areas! Is there a sealer that is better than the next?

I use Universal Grout Sealer in a spray tin, aerosol, should be able to pick it up in a good tile shop
If there's a CTD close to you then nip in. Very easy to use.
Keep well ventilated & try to wear a mask, smelly stuff.

I also use Universeal grout sealer. It is easy to use but remember it wont make your grout stainproof, only stain resistant.
