Have come home to find the tiler has applied paving sealant to my new jerusalem brushed travertine tiles before laying so presumably intending to reseal again later. They have gone alot darker and shinier iand I,m already disappointed, is this right? I thought he would apply specialised sealant for travertine. Sorry if this is boring but its urgent. I,m wondering whether to stop him applying more seal tomorrow. Any experts out there? Thanks Kaz.

If it`s not the look you want then of course you should stop him. Strange sealer to use IMO anyway. I`m sure there are sealers available that won`t create a shiny finish but still protect the tile. Lithofin stainstop is one that i believe would be suitable
