Tiled a kitchen floor Sat for a nicely dressed lady who was very pleaseant to me. Finished up went back to grout on Monday, polished off she told me how pleased she was then talked for ages. Finaly got around to the shillings and she asked if I could call back next week. I have to be honest I was dunb struck wasnt a lot of money, eventually I relented and shot off in the van.
Was getting to the main road when a currys van stopped asked me where the house I had been working in was so I swung round and showed them. New washing machine cheeky ***** no money to pay me. I sat on the machine .....money or the nice new machine was comming home with me. She went to the bank

Said to a customer don't put anything on the new screed in her conservatory, Leave it to dry out then I'll come back and tile it. Went back about 6 weeks, They had put an expensive rug on the screed so it looked more homely. Picked up the rug it had gone mouldy after a month, I did tell yer. It cost £600, Last time I saw it it was in the skip:huh2:

Did a splash-back, 14 m2, 2 days work, white with several multi-coloured tiles here and there. Right I said on the second day, I'll be back in the morning to grout up.

Turned up the third morning to grout to find they had pulled off the multi-coloured tiles as they didn't like where they were.............:furious3:

That reminds me of one a couple of years ago. I was tiling a bathroom and the owner went to great lengths to draw layouts of all the walls with positions for all of the 'random' patterned tiles. Left the job on Friday with only a few odd bits to finish off. On the Monday morning I turned up to find that many of the patterned tiles had been removed and I now had a new layout plan to follow.

Unfortunately he hadn't removed any of the adhesive from the walls or the tiles. He also hadn't removed any of the plain tiles that he wanted me to replace with the patterned ones.
