put some slc down at a house last night and the only light wired up was in the kitchen where i was working. went back to tile this morning and when i saw the house in daylight i realised it was a no go. the plasterers finished 2 weeks ago and the plaster hasnt dried out one bit. it was only a 3mm skim as well. all the floor was damp and the slc had only skinned over. i broke some up and the floor underneath was soaked. rang the guy and he said just tile straight on top it will be fine. didnt want to know about the damp so i packed the van up and went home.

Who was it that said carry on...a builder or the house owner ?

You certainly did the right thing by getting off !!
