Cutting 800mm Limestone.

Hi Fella,s

I have 50sq metres of 800mm limestone to lay,problem is bridgesaw won,t take this size. Is it possible to cut with angle grinder. Tiles are only 5mm thick.

Make sure you have a steady hand and use a water bottle to keep blade wet all the time.

use a timber batten as a guide on the long cuts just to keep your lines nice and neat.
make sure the batten is straight too!

You should do a check piece first, some natural stone will stain even with water. You may have to cut them dry so just use the usual safety items. Must say I have never come across 5mm Limestone, what is the substrate and what adhesive are you using?

For that size would have thought they needed to be 15mm.

This should be ok yes.

Im not sure if Id like to lay these on a floor. Are they suitable for floors?
