Cutting plastic bath panels

Apart from using a stanley knife and taking your time,is there any other methods or techniques for cutting down bath panels once floor has been plyed out and tiles fixed?

No...if you find one plz let me know...to be successful as a tiler the best attribute is patience........and sharp tools..Remove the majority with aviation snips..and hone with stanley or dolphin knife with hooked blade..........Gaz

masking tape the panel and cut with hacksaw blade or any fine toothed saw........dave..

I did mine with a good old stanley... bloody took ages, lol, and would't like to ever have to do it again.

On a bathroom floor I'd feel like saying to customer as soon as I had finished tiling... get a plumber mate, lol

cut a panel today with a brand new stanley blade and scored the panel lightly then bent off cut and it came off no probs.Got another one tomorrow except this one is contoured,going to try the same thing mark the height of ply and tile and consider adhesive then mark panel and take it off and score,hope i get the same result.

I always try and talk them into getting a wooden panel.............I hate them plastic things

Yeah-get the miserable *******s to fork out the extra 45 quid for a good quality mdf wrapped one:happy:

Invest a bit of cash for the ultimate tilers tool and get a fein multimaster.Expensive outlay but will cut bathpanels,remove grout and adhesive and cut metal and wood easily.Got one about two months ago and use it on every job for something.:wink_smile:

The **** who fitted the un level bath can fit the bloody panel....
