Had a call from an old friend today who asked me if i was interested in doing 2 marble bathrooms in Holland Park unfortunately my mate has heart trouble and just had a pace maker fitted so cant really do any heavy work so is confined to light marble masonry work and general snagging and finishing work ,I said I would very much like the work and to pass my number to the customer ,30 seconds later I receive a call ,great but he wants it started tomorrow and want weekends and lates to get the job completed asap
I politely declined and offered to pass on some numbers of quality marble fixers who may be able to help him ,my goodness 3 calls later and several texts the poor bloke was absolutely desperate, I got my final text a few minutes ago to say thanks for the help but some guys really do not want to wait even a few days for a recommended tradesman:mad2:

I had the same, had the boss of an insurance reinstatement co. I worked for didn't want to wait a week or so to get me in. everyone told him to wait for me but wouldn't. got another bloke in and guess what. half way through the install he calls me crying down the phone about the mess this guy was producing. I went in got this guy to fix up the probs and got the install as good as possible without ripping it all out.

A couple of weeks later he didnt learn his lesson. Wouldnt wait again, council rejected the tanking. By this time I was committed to other jobs.
These people are crazy. It's so frustrating because I know I could have got both bathrooms sorted and given him a really good installation, Trouble free. Cant help some people ay.:mad2:
