Hi TIm,

I got busy with subs on the job today and forgot to check on that blade. I'll get it tomorrow!

No worries pal min has not arrived yet anyway. I wish it would hurry up i cant wait to start playing!

just one question regarding these cutters. the dewalt cuts upto 610mm and i think the equivalent rubi 20 does the same...what would you use to cut a larger tile, for eg diagonally. i saw some tiles in a shop the other day and they where about 900m across the diagonal point??

cheers

Hi Tim,

The new blade I have is a model DW 4764. The one that just was retired is so worn that the model number has rubbed off of the metal, so I can't tell you what that was.

So, if the DW 4764 is available in the UK, I would say you should get it and you will be happy with it.

Tim

I know that there are specialized blades for a variety of materials, and I have bought different blades for specific applications. The reality is that we end up putting one blade on the saw and cut everything with it because we are too lazy to change the blade or we haven't brought the extras that are sitting home in my garage when I need them. :furious3:

So, we end up using the blade to cut everthing, including stone, bricks and Corian solid surfacing material.

at the end of the day if it cuts porcelain then it wil cut anything else with a wet blade....within reason..
