Dieter matting, advice please, never used it before.

Hello all, I have a job and been requested to use dieter matting. I have seen it online but never used it. Could anyone advise it is for use with granite tiles. I am based in Manchester and have no idea where to buy it from, what is a good price etc. All help would be appreciated.

Hi ya mazbert, it's called ditra matting.
Most tile shops stock it and prices vary in different areas.
It's well worth the money and is easy used.
Do a search on here for it, loads of information on here.

Many similar products out there...AVOID Genesis G Mat
Schluter Ditra is the original, Dural is in my opinion as good and a fraction of the price.
Basically you would need to prime floor as usual ( special prep for anhydrite screeds )
Use a 4mm square notch trowel and trowel floor with a cement based flexible adhesive, roll out mat gradually, pressing down and smoothing out with a grout float, mat can be walked on more or less straight away.
When fixing tiles first use flat edge of trowel and fill in all holes, then serrate as usual.

hi mazbert you will still have to over board the floorboards..i wouldnt fit ditra directly o them
