water baby

HELP I had a new tiled floor put down in February and have just discovered a pipe has been leaking behind one of my kitchen units. The floor is concrete and the tiler put detra matting down before putting the tiles down. The Insurance Company want to rip the whole lot up but I am wonderingif the floor will eventually dry out without harming the tiles. Any suggestions PLEASE?

How big an area do you think is affected? Has the water creeped under all of the tiles and concrete floor???
I doubt that there will be any harm done to the tiles, but i think the concrete floor will take forever to dry out.
Ditra does allow water vapour to pass through itself and wick out through the sides, but if those are covered with units or grouted in then there will be very little exchange of air.

It will be fine.. if it was timber then deffo replace..

How many patios are tiled / get wet and dry etc etc.. so why replace a screed tiled floor..?.. c'mon guys think about it... the floor will not sweat with Ditra in place , so mould should not grow..

Why do the insurance want to rip it up for, did they say why.?/.. i could understand of it was sewage contamination but not a general clean water leak ..
