Ditra price increase?

I just rang through for another load of ditra, only to be told the price has now gone up! :mad2::mad2: I aint having it! how dare they! these charlatans! Whats a cheaper alternative?...Ive gone of orange anyway!

I buy ci matting from a supplier in derby, I buy 30m2 rolls...switched from ditra a few months ago

There's a lot of nonsense going on with Schluter here in the US. I buy less and less of their product every year.

I price up some ditra sound the other week, enough to do 3msq, they wanted £150 for it. I ended up buying a product called polysilent plus from PCI, that cost £88.

Ok I fess up, I was paying £99.00 a roll when I did Canary Wharf but that was because the m2 was massive, and I did have a lot in reserve to take onto other jobs. Now Im down to my last 3 rolls I refuse to pay £197.00 a roll though, thats daylight robbery. Ive come to a compromise with the supplier now and settled on £159.60, and hes telling me Im cheap and robbing him. But when you add the cost of that adhesive they do, it all starts mounting up.

it was 30m a roll until you chipped him on the price, so now he's cut 5m off so the price is more to your liking:lol:

used to pick ditra for quite cheap but for 3 rolls + cant use in commercial as it takes to long to lay and it stops work because no one can work on it and uses to much adhesive which is why I use pasalastic even though its about the same price it saves me money due to less labour and materials
