Bought myself a dolly today out of ScrewFix, trying to tile on my own fitting 600 square porcelain tiles, up & down up & down.
Don't know why I never bought one of these years ago for fitting large tiles..
I went into lidl to see if they had any as I knew they had been selling them a while ago.

Worked that out today Sean, cost me £50 but it's a right heavy duty one, holds 250kg

I was going to buy one the last time they were in.
Will keep an eye out & buy one next time & maybe take the broken one back to ScrewFix.. [emoji6]

I must have 6 or 7 different ones knocking around, really handy for all size tiles. I've got about 100m2 of 200x200 to fit next week and can easily stack 10m2 on one of them.

Mines got a bit of old carpet stapled onto it. Stops the tiles 'bouncing' and reduces risk of cracking.

Looked at that option but heavy duty wheels are rather expensive.
Using my Dolly again today, I still can't believe I haven't bought one sooner.

I've made all mine myself, various sizes shapes. I couldn't function without them nowadays. I even made one specifically for my adhesive, spacers and water bucket.

im always making things or adjusting things to try and make them work better

Funny: I have a couple of plastic Tesco roll cage bases that make superb dollies. They'd probably like 'em back at some point no doubt...! Got some euro container dollies too and some timber ones that fit through a door and in a lift.

A good tip is to have them with two fixed wheels otherwise they can a pain to control when dragging. Cut an old ratchet strap or seat belt webbing to pull with.
