Drilling slate tiles

I am new to the forum and have been given the job of tiling my son's ensuite. my question is what is the best type of bit to drill slate tiles?

what sort of holes are you wanting to drill mate? just for fixtures and fittings or holes for pipes etc, as said 365 drills for holes for pipes etc, an ordinary masonry bit will be fine for fixtures and fittings

Some holes for fittings so guess masonry bit will do for them,also holes for shower mixer hot and cold connections.
