Drop effect grout on wetroom tray former

Hi all
finally got round to updating MY OWN en-suite, busmans holliday. I'm using a PCS 1800 x 800mm tray former and 10mm pcs board over the remainder of the floor. I generally use superflex grout for floors, but it tends to look wet for a while after being used.
I don't want to use epoxy and wondered if anyone had used mapei grout with drop effect in a wet room and if it works well?

Yes I have but it's not totally waterproof but then again neither is superflex.....

Does the water sit on the surface a bit more. Will give it a try on my own job if its a little bit better than others.

Is there anything else anyone's used or can recommend ?

It does for general wetness but if it was a wetroom then tanking would be the key...

Pcs former in and shower and first coat of condom paint! Tanking on.

Must say I've been used to using backer board and this is the first job that I have used insulation boards 10mm pcs form tile town. I'm sold, never going back to cement board.

Pcs is a manufacturer of wet room formers and insulation board. As for the "condom" paint, it's just elasagum tanking. Basically rubberised paint. Get any on you fingers and the rubber smell reminds you of your youth :8:
