ive laid some marble tiles and they have a dull film on them similar to grout film but waxy. i think this is a residue from the polishing process. ive encountered it before on porcelain tiles. if you put water on it, it runs off like an oily surface or newly polished car. i have not grouted yet and plain water doesnt remove neither does soapy water. what to use to remove this? what is this called? i dont think it is the same as transit wax. i have not sealed the tiles.
thanks

You will not get transit wax in stone.

The water beading off is simply the polishing process surface tension , as for the film, then pics required ?

i can get some picture posted tomorrow but it wont show very much. it is only properly visible to the naked eye. when i enquired about this some years ago to the porcelain supplier, he informed me it was residue from the polishing process. the tiles should be glossy but these are slightly dull. for the record they are eperador marble, im sure many of you will have seen this product and how great it looks.
