Durabase CI Matting on wall

Hi I have some Durabase CI Matting left over from a previous job, could this be used to tank a shower wall which will be finished with travertine?

You will be better off using the Dural WP matting.. but what substrate do you have to tile to..? will it support the travertine weight..?

That was quick Dave! the wall is plain sand and cement rendered and is on very well. I know wp would be the first choice but I do have 4 m of ci left over from a job and if it can be used .............

I have never used it for that purpose.. Best bet is to ring Dural direct and ask.. i have heard of Ditra used on walls.. but would deffo ask first..

You mean the grey one.. G-mat.. same as dural.. but grey..

Then they've rolled it wrong!
Or perhaps its right and Ditra have rolled it wrong.

It might be rolled opposite way so it lays flatter.. the nylon string can cause it to curl closer to the core..??? who knows not used or seen it yet..

On Ditra the web is on the flat bottom side with the orange squares on the top!
With this decoupling the web is on the round recessed face and a cloth fixed to the other side - no instructions ie This side up!

just got 8 rolls for the job I'm on and its not gray now its white but it is rolled OK
