Dust control for raking grout

:joker: Can anyone help me with a problem I have encountered. We are raking out grout to a swimming pool, and need to control the dust generated. Any ideas from previous experience. Dust extraction fitted to the grinder failed to control the dust sufficiently, so any ideas would be welcome.

did the same thing about a yr ago to a pool surround

try to keep the area your are grinding wet this will sludge it up

water is all i could suggest unless you use a specific grout removal machine with extractor unit but imo no dust extraction units work as you'd expect!!!

also make sure you take regular breaks from the grinder as the constant vibration due to long periods on the grinder gave me a ganglion in my wrist that took 12 months to go

Something I've used in a bathroom is to get a large fan and have it blowing out of the window, the idea being to create an airflow to the outside rather than into the other rooms in the house, it can be quite effective.
