Electric Cooker Discussion ThreadElectric Cooker Electrical Advice
Good Morning all
Looking for some advice.
Recently had an electric cooker installed from a company found on check a trade.
Before engineer arrived he advised me to buy a 2.5mm cable to connect to the mains. When purchasing the shopkeeper informed me that cookers usually would need a 6mm cable but the electrician insisted that 2.5mm was sufficient and came and installed it.
I’ve had further advice that this may not be good enough.
Hotpoint were unhelpful and said it would need to be decided by an electrician, they would only tell me the cooker will run on max 35.2A
Model no: HS67V5KHX
Any advice appreciated.
Mike.
