Electrical Question

I know this prolly shouldn't be here, but im desperate. Just got in and the mrs has disconnected the dimmer switch. Is there anyone here who can tell me how to reconnect it? Here is a link to a diagram what i've got, all i know is that there was a piece of wire connecting the common on one side to one of the terminals on the other. Also, there were 2 other red wires in the common on one side.
