Email on private messages

Hello, how do I make my email address tell me that someone has sent me a private message on the forum? Does anybody know?

It does it automatically on mine - did not need to set it up

Go into settings and then general settings. You will see all the info there.

You will only get an email for a private message when you get a message sent to you..

Yes I understand I won't get a message if no-one has sent one! I advertised that I was looking for work in the oxford area and I didn't receive an email telling me I had a private message, until I looked on the forum 4 weeks later. Cue 'look on the forum more often' - I know!
I wanted to check how I change this, but looking on the settings they already say I'll be emailed with any messages.

Ok, then check your email settings on your pc.. they might be going to your spam box..

All mine go to my spam filter when all other notifications go through normal email
