Hiya, tomorrow i begin my 1st of 2 weeks tiling training course, have read a few bad reviews on these courses etc,

I am a complete novice but always fancied a go at this and hope im good at it.

my plan is to do small jobs for free for my family, and go out on jobs with my mate free until after xmas and i have encountered every scenerio, and am confident in myself.

cheers danny

Welcome along and good luck. It will take a lot longer than Xmas until you encountered every scenario though. After 10 years of tiling I still come across problems I've never seen before although I'm probably considered a novice compared to the number of years experience some of the guys on here have!

Your mate must do one hell of a lot of work to show you every scenerio before Xmas. After 35 years in the trade as a full time tiler I still come across scenarios that need a bit of thinking. Plus the trade has and will go through changes due to new products and specifications from architects, designers and product manufacturers.
Which course are you doing ?
