I

IvegotsTILE

Got a phone call the other day"I have a travertine tile that needs replacing is there any chance of you coming and giving me a quote?"
I thought might aswell have a look, will just be a quick job.
Got there and it was one cracked tile,
"No problem £25 I said,."
"Thats great, when can you do it?
"I'll knip round tomorrow after I've finished work."

I had a quick chat with her,got my number from Topps. She said she'd tried 3 numbers from the yellow pages and none of them wanted the hassle of removing and replacing a tile, she was glad I'd been prompt and turned up on time.

Went round after work she gave me a bottle of beer and I whipped it out and replaced in 20 minutes.I asked her if she had just moved there(sold sign outside)and she said she was moving but had said she'd sort out the broken tile. She told me she was very impressed with my service, she was just moving to a new house which needs a full bathroom and 2 en suites in travertine doing, she'd already been to price up all the materials and she just wanted to see how I aquitted myself.

So now I've got a full bathroom and 2 ensuites in travertine to do all because I went to change one tile:hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

It just goes to show you that any job no matter how small can lead on to greater jobs if done correctly.

FROM TINY ACORNS GROW MIGHTY TREES! (or something like that)
