iv got a few.

they are well worth the extra.
you cannot look at only about money. its about what extra it brings to the table.
having almost all the dust sucked up when cutting mdf or sanding is worth any money.

I had a customer start mocking the amount of money I had spent in the few tools that I had there that day.
I didn't say much until he went to eat his dinner at the dinner table.
I picked up my rotex 150 with 36 grit paper, I then sanded a length of 9x 2 . all I can say is he saw the light. almost no dust on the table and none in the air.

I don't think the drills are worth the premium. if you need the extra chucks you can buy a dewalt drill/ impact and an angle bare unit and still be cheaper the the festool

I got a contract laying wood floor a few years ago and treated myself to the PS 300 EQ 720w jigsaw, more than impressed. Fella I did job for had nothing but Festool, hoover, table saw, circular saw, cordless drills, electric drills etc, knocks spots off Bosch, DeWalt, Makita and Micky Mouse Milwaukee. I stick with DeWalt cos that's what I can afford, wish I could kit my self out soley with Festool, best you can get.

If it's just a 10.8v drill you're looking for then no I don't think you're going to notice a massive difference. We'll not unless that drill is going to be in your hands for hours on end and is going to be your main drill rather than as you suggest a quick go to so you don't have to get your Dewalt kit out

Festool is worth the money without a doubt, even more so now with the extended warranties and insurance cover included as standard. But it's only worth splashing that cash if they are going to be your work horses like they been designed for.
