Lovely work Dave, what are the boards in the pool area....do they get rendered with bagged gear ????

Thanks mark , this pool had been tiled twice before by tilers ( i use the term loosely ) first time the client rejected the work ,the second time the floor exploded, the the pool company sent there A team to re-fix the insulated boards, then asked me to tile it, i went to the job and could not believe the crap work of the A team ,the boards were deflecting all over the place i took a closer look and many of the fixings were loose in the holes so we completely re -fixed the boards, then i screeded over this, with a special fast track screed then we had it tanked, then i tiled it........mad job, this was also for the pool company that almost every job i have done for them , i have had to put right from the start, .......

I take it the wall areas are done with similar product Dave......

yes Mark insulated panels , these were fixed well ,so no prob's with the walls ......

Then rendered Dave...never done a pool so just a matter of interest.

no Mark the walls don't need rendering, well the whole pool system don't need rendering if put together properly , but as i explained above they had been botched together , when we bolteted the floor down we then had the problem of the bolt heads being to high so the screed was to lose these heads and supple a good sub straight for the tanking/tiles ........

Sorry Dave just one more....you say the floor was tanked but do the boards on the wall stop water traveling to the substrate....

sorry Mark the whole pool is tanked with the best tanking liquid system i have ever seen, it is light blue in colour and hot spray applied then on the final coat they dash in a sand aggregate that give a mechanical key for the adhesive to bite-into !! it go's off as hard as anything ,,but as you would expect it's expensive £3500.00 for that pool ......
