fired earth adhesive and grout

I used the fired earth thick bed floor adhesive today and was wondering who manufactures it for them ?

they are not tubs Bri ,they are bags of powder placed in the buckets and you get a free bucket to mix it up in
the thick bed adhesive is a PTB and gives 100% coverage when fixing with it, not great when fixing 400x400 x20mm stone tiles as it slumped but it did go off very quickly and it has lots of polymer in it . i ended up putting a handful of the other powder in with the thick bed adhesive which helped to bed up the stone tiles but I would definitely use the thickbed adhesive on porcel-thin as it gives such good coverage even from a standard trowel

Norcros grout bags are the same with different branding !!

Love it when adhesive comes with a bucket. Sadly down to my last few rubber crumb buckets :-(

what did you use it for and why didnt you like it ,is it because it knocks up so loose ?

it used to be bisem that was years ago not used it for twenty years

It was to fix 600 x 600 glazed porcelain. It slumped so muc I ended up mixing it thicker and using it as a normal adhesive, had to stump up for 6 extra bags. BAL Tile & Stone PTB is far superior.
