Starting first porcelain floor tommorrow. The tiles are rough on the surface - unpolished. They are going onto concrete floor. MY plan is as follows:

Prime floor with BAL Primer
Use BAL Rapidset Flexi to fix tiles
Seal with porcelain inpregnator
grout with BAL W/J grey.

Any problems with this or suggestions? Is it essential to seal the tiles? Im worried about the surface and grout. The tiles are rough like slate, so how will i get the grout off them?

Thanks in advance

Will

CLAYS TILES

:confused:I never sealed my porcelin tiles, but mine was dark grey!
the grout comes off if you do it straight away with a sponge!
i think my tiles are just like yours with a riven surface!!

also i'm confused why your putting BAL Primer on floor? if its concrete floor you should be able to just put down rapid set and lay tiles on that!
if i'm wrong can someone let me know please:(

I did a porcelain floor the other week, very similar tiles.Make sure you get all the grout off with your washboy, don't leave the grout on too long cause it stays there and is a tw*t to get off once it dries.

I ended up spending 3 hours violently scrubbing the floor to get all the grout marks off the tiles and then having to use an impregnator on them cause the tiles held dirt in and they were awful for the customer to clean.

Personally I'd exactly what you said Willones
