Well since registering on here many months ago I have been juggling both my own graphic design business with an amount of labouring work for a couple of friends one of which is a qualified sparky and the other a plasterer. Together they have been very busy over the past few months with a variety of jobs as they pretty much apply their skills to most projects and along with a number of kitchen and bathroom refits we've been working on an ongoing bungalow renovation which I've been helping out with doing most of the dirty jobs along with scraping 10 artex ceilings for replastering, digging an 18 foot trench for soil pipes, digging a 40 foot trench for a boundary wall and cutting out new doors and windows in 1 1930's built property.

Well at last, as they are so busy they have given me the responsibilty to tile one of the bathrooms we're working on whilst the customer is away over Christmas.

They want brick bond around the bath/shower and thankfully a simple grid pattern on the floor. We have already ripped out, laid 18mm marine ply and re boarded. Basin and toilet will go in over tiles so it should be a fairly task but still a bit nervous.

Will post pics as I go. Wish me luck!

Best of luck with it mate. I would spend a couple of hours on here with a note pad before you make a start, make sure that you know what you need to about substrate prep, the correct adhesives and grouts and correct fixing methods for this job. No offense meant but I have never met a sparky or a plasterer that tile correctly (not to say that these guys dont ), it wont hurt to get the info first so that you know that you are doing it right
