I've been quoted for 2 different methods of fitting an UFH system by the electrician.
Both will use Raychem T2 heating wire.
The job is over 2 floors, 1 floor is solid concrete and the other will be a wooden sub-floor on solid concrete. The total job is about 360m2.

Method 1 - Prime floors, use flexible adhesive to fix T2 Reflecta insulation plates, which have the grooves in them for the wire. This then allows you to tile straight on top.

Method 2 - Lay an insulation and fit the wire over the top, then screed over.

So my question is which method would be more appropriate for fitting 20mm limestone tiles? Is Ditra needed for both methods?

Many thanks in advance.
